The organizers would like to warmly welcome and strongly encourage all participants to come and introduce themselves hoping to build a friendly, informal event with a sense of belonging that would be much longer lived than the conference itself. Some free drinks. exact time to be announced.

ICOScapes Photo Exhibition reveals a beautiful collection of photographs taken at 12 ICOS stations located in unique environments across Europe.

The campaign, which shows breathtaking photographs of the stations, their surroundings and their research facilities and personnel, features the famous nature and wilderness Finnish photographer Konsta Punkka, also called the “squirrel whisperer”, with over 1 million followers on Instagram.

ICOScapes Photo Exhibition raises awareness on the ongoing climate change as well as highlights the importance of reliable, integrated and standardized GHG measurements in tackling the challenges of a warming world.

From Prague, the exhibition will travel through the 12 participating ICOS member countries during 2018 and 2019.

The conference dinner takes place in a spectacular historical setting: A Neo-Renaissance-style National House (Národní dům na Vinohradech), built in 1894. The three-course dinner will be served at the Mayakovsky Hall, which is the largest and most beautiful hall of the building. The hall is the named after a poet Vladimir V. Mayakovsky and it is elaborately decorated with number of rosettes on the balconies along with other ornaments and beautiful murals. The three-piece allegory on the ceiling is a creation of by Adolf Liebscher and the chandeliers are valuable antiquities from the end of 19th century. The location itself will undoubtedly create a memorable evening.

Two Excursions available  (Price is 30€).

to CzechGlobe Wetland Ecosystem station (proposed as associated ICOS station) in Třeboň.

The trip starts from the venue (Prague) at 8:00 and return 18:30. The field trip includes travel to the station (is about two and half hours) and back to Prague. Visit to the station, Lunch in the city of Třeboň and free time in the city (http://www.visittrebon.cz/en/trebon-town/19/ ) until 16:00.

or

to CzechGlobe Atmospheric station (proposed as class 1 ICOS station) in Křešín u Pacova. The trip starts from the Venue (Prague) at 8:00 and return 16:00. The field trip includes travel to the station (is about two hours) and back to Prague, visit to the station and lunch in the city of Humpolec.

The capacity of visitors these stations is limited to 50 people.
